Archive Change Approval
An approval email will be sent to ab email addresses designated as the Archive Change Approver upon initializing the Archive Export. Make sure at least one of these email addresses is valid.
1. Using the adminstrative email address, log into https://portal.mcafeesaas.com.
2. Navigate to Email Archiving > Setup.
3. Make sure the email address listed are valid and accessible.
Initialize Export Process
Warnings
- Initiating the export will permanently halt ingest, causing journaled emails to build up in your Exchange Journal. Therefore, we strongly recommend you implement an alternate vendor to ingest and clear your Journal before initiating export to prevent large quantities of email from accumulating in your Journal mailbox, which can cause system stability issues on your Exchange Server.
- Initiating the export will permanently halt the retention purge process as well as your ability to perform selective purges.
- Due to the high demand resulting from the end-of-life announcement, exports could take several weeks to complete.
- All Archive Change Approvers will receive an email notification when your archive is ready to be downloaded from this page.
1. Using the adminstrative email address, log into https://portal.mcafeesaas.com.
2. Navigate to Email Archiving > Export.
3. Click "Initialize Export Process" button.
A status message will appear
Before your export can begin, an Archive Change Approver must approve the export request by following the instructions provided in the email notification.
4. Follow the instructions in the email.
