Outlook Client –User is not in the client at the time of migration
If you’re not in your Microsoft Outlook client at the time your mailbox finishes migrating, you will experience the following upon restarting the client:
The status bar in the bottom right corner of your Outlook client will display a message indicating it is trying to connect to the mail server.
The message will then change to indicate you are disconnected from the server.
You will then receive a popup message indicating an administrator has made a change and requires Outlook to be restarted.
Click OK to close the message.
Close your Outlook client and restart it.
You will receive a popup box asking you to enter your password. You will need to enter your new password that you received via email the day prior to your migration. Please note: if you don’t have your password, please contact your company IT administrator.
Once you successfully enter your password, you should see a message in the bottom right corner status bar in your Outlook client indicating you have successfully connected to Microsoft Exchange. Note: this may take several minutes before this message appears.
Once you’re reconnected to Microsoft Exchange, you have successfully completed the process and are using your new mailbox. You will see all of your email and can continue working normally at this point.
If you have any issues with this process, please contact your company IT administrator.
